Believe it or not, we’re in the final stretch of the year (final quarter of 2024!). With just a few months left, now is the perfect time to revisit your fitness goals and set new ones for the last quarter. Whether you’ve hit your milestones or life has thrown you a curveball, there’s always time to reassess and make progress before the year ends.
Why Set Goals Now? – Setting goals now ensures that you end the year strong, rather than waiting for the New Year to roll around. Plus, having a clear focus helps you stay motivated and consistent, especially as the busy holiday season approaches.
SMART Goals: Keep It Realistic – Make your goals SMART—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Instead of a vague goal like “I want to get stronger,” try something like “I want to increase my deadlift by 20 pounds in the next 8 weeks.” The clearer your goals, the easier they’ll be to track and accomplish. Need help? A part of our membership is regular goal-setting and check-ins. It’s more than just workouts!
Break It Down – Big goals can feel overwhelming, so break them into smaller, more manageable steps. If your goal is to work out 4 times a week, start by committing to 2 or 3 times and build up. Progress is progress, no matter how small.
Celebrate Wins Along the Way – Don’t wait until the end of the year to celebrate your success. Acknowledge your wins as you hit smaller milestones along the way. This will keep you motivated and remind you that you’re moving in the right direction.
The last quarter of the year is an opportunity to set new goals, break them down, and finish strong. Revisit your goals now, create a plan, and get after it—there’s still plenty of time to make progress. Remember, we are always here to help! ????
