Do you really want it?

I have a simple question for you today: Do you really want it?

I ask because I had a great chat with my business coach the other day while reflecting on the past year. Sometimes, you get so caught up in the day-to-day that you don’t realize how far you’ve come.

At one point, I joked that I’ve worked so much that I should have a mansion on a lake with a private jet. He laughed and asked, “Do you even want that?”

And honestly? No, not really.

I was falling into the comparison trap, focusing on something I didn’t actually care about. So he told me, “Forget about that. What do you really want? Focus on that.”

That’s the same question I ask when someone comes into ACF. There’s a reason they inquired about our services.

What do you want to accomplish?

Most people say they want to feel healthier, lose weight, get stronger, feel more confident, or just have the accountability to stay on track. And I believe we do one helluva job helping people get there.

But sometimes, people lose sight of their real goals.

Instead of celebrating progress, they start asking:

  • Why aren’t I 10% body fat?
  • Why can’t I fit into those skinny jeans?
  • Why can’t I do this or that?

And that begs the question—do you really want that?

If so, let’s go all in:
✔ Track your food
✔ Prioritize protein and dial in macros
✔ Push the weights
✔ Hit 10K+ steps per day
✔ Get 7+ hours of sleep
✔ Center your life around that goal

But when you put it like that, it’s usually less appealing. So the real question is, are you getting distracted by social media and comparing yourself to others? Chances are, that’s the bigger issue.

Next time you start doubting your progress, ask yourself: Do I really want this? And if so, are you willing to make the sacrifices?

If you are—let’s go!

If not, that’s okay too. Give yourself credit. This is your journey. You’re already doing something to improve your health, and that’s something to be proud of.
