You’ve probably heard that 10,000 steps a day is the gold standard for health, but here’s some great news:
New research shows that just 8,200 steps per day is enough to protect you from some of the most common chronic diseases!
In a 4-year study of over 6,000 Fitbit users as part of the “All of Us” medical project, researchers discovered that hitting 8,200 steps daily can help protect against:
- Obesity
- Sleep Apnea
- Heartburn & Reflux
- Major Depression Disorder
That’s only about 4 miles per day!
Even better? The study found that as your step count goes beyond 8,200, your risk for many health problems keeps decreasing.
