One of my favorite things is when someone comes to us after physical therapy and finds out they can keep getting stronger without feeling like they’re taking a giant step backward.

That’s Kim.

Kim came to us after being referred by one of our trusted physical therapy partners, Premier Rehab & Training. She had finished physical therapy after a back injury and was ready for the next step, but she was also hesitant.

And honestly, that makes complete sense.

When you’ve been hurt before, jumping back into a gym can feel a little scary. You don’t want to undo all the work you just did. You don’t want to be thrown into a random class where everyone is doing the same thing. You don’t want to feel like you’re guessing your way through exercises and hoping your back doesn’t file a formal complaint.

Kim had tried a few different gyms. She had tried group classes. She had tried doing it on her own.

But nothing really stuck.

Not because she wasn’t capable.

It just wasn’t the right fit.

And that matters.

Because the right fitness program is not just about having equipment in a room. It’s not just about sweating. It’s not just about someone yelling, “Let’s go!” while you wonder if your spine agrees with the plan.

Personal training should be personal.

Especially when someone is coming out of physical therapy.

When our physical therapy partners send someone our way, we take that seriously. We pay attention. We look for certain things. We watch movement. We modify when needed. We progress when ready. We make sure the foundation is there before we start adding more.

That is the whole point.

It is not about ramming a square peg into a round hole.

It is about finding the right entry point and building from there.

And Kim has been crushing it.

She’s training consistently. She’s pain-free. She’s doing exercises she did not think were possible. She’s getting stronger, building muscle, and feeling more confident in what her body can do.

And maybe most importantly, she keeps showing up.

Here’s what Kim shared in her Google review:

“Over the past couple of years, I have tried a few different gyms and never found the one that was the right fit for me. After a back injury, my physical therapist referred me to ACF after completing treatment. I have been attending trainings here for a few months now and am absolutely loving it. I am always able to find a time that fits my schedule, the trainers are super accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful. My workouts are always challenging, and I feel stronger than ever! I have definitely found the gym where I belong.”

That last line is the best part.

“I have definitely found the gym where I belong.”

That is exactly what we want Adam Clark Fitness to be.

A place where people can train hard, but train smart.

A place where you can get stronger without feeling beat up.

A place where you do not have to be the fittest person in the room to feel like you belong in the room.

A place where people with real bodies, real injury histories, real schedules, and real concerns can still make real progress.

Kim is a great example of what happens when someone gets the right support at the right time.

She did not need to be pushed into something random.

She needed coaching.

She needed a plan.

She needed a place where she could trust the process, build confidence, and keep moving forward.

And now she is stronger than ever.

Great job, Kim.

We are proud of you.

Keep showing up, keep getting stronger, and keep proving to yourself what is possible.

If you’ve finished physical therapy, dealt with an injury, or felt nervous about getting back into a gym, Kim is proof that the right environment matters.
