Ever made an excuse for why you couldn’t get something done? Of course you have—we all do. Some are valid, but let’s be honest: most are not.
So, what excuses are you making in your life right now?
This isn’t meant to be harsh, but I caught myself making excuses the other day. I didn’t want to work out. I wanted junk food. Now, sometimes rest is necessary, and sometimes, yes, go have the pizza. But that day? I wasn’t sore, I didn’t need the break—I just wanted to do nothing.
The problem with excuses is that once we start making them, they gain momentum—just like bad habits. The more sugar you eat, the more your body craves it. The more negative thoughts you allow in, the easier it becomes to spiral into self-doubt.
I’ve worked with hundreds of people, and let me tell you, no one is perfect—and they don’t need to be. Life happens. But the people who see the best results? They don’t let excuses win. Instead of focusing on why they can’t do something, they find a way to make it work. They build habits, they know what they want, and they prioritize it.
Another thing that holds people back? Bouncing from one thing to the next. Program to program, diet to diet, trend to trend—two weeks here, a month there, no results. The truth is, while I believe we have the best gym in town, state, and country, I also know you can see results anywhere—as long as you stick with it and stay consistent.
Jumping from one thing to the next before you build a habit will leave you spinning in circles. And I don’t want that for you. I want you to have the best results and the best life possible. And I know you can do it.
So, what’s one excuse you’ve been making lately that you need to throw in the trash? Time to overcome it.
