Alice Never Thought She’d Enjoy the Gym—Now Look at Her

Getting started is often the hardest part. Nerves kick in, excuses pile up, and before you know it, months—or even years—have gone by. The truth is, there’s never a “perfect time” to start.

For Alice Miller, that realization changed everything. When she first walked through the doors at Adam Clark Fitness, she had never considered herself a “gym person.” Gardening had become difficult, her legs cramped often, and she simply wanted to move and feel better—but she didn’t know where to begin.

Her goals were simple:

  • Feel better in daily life
  • Move more freely
  • Build strength and consistency

So she started small. No magic formulas, no extreme workouts—just structure, coaching, and consistency.

Fast forward a few months, and Alice has now completed over 75 workouts. She’s stronger, healthier, and making fitness a regular part of her life. In fact, she’s had to buy new clothes because her old ones are too big—a pretty great “problem” to have.

Here’s what Alice shared in her own words:

“In February, on advice from my friend Shirley, I tried Adam Clark Fitness…and what a wonderful adventure I have had there. Twice a week I go and enjoy the company of my new exercise family and do things I never thought I would ever do again. Exercises can be and are fun if you do them correctly and in the right atmosphere. We have that at this gym. Never a rush. Never overcrowded. Just a very pleasant time of getting your body where it should be. And having fun at the same time. So thank you to all the trainers and fellow exercisers for being such a nice helpful group of friends. Maybe I will be one of those who gets to hold the 500 workouts signs! Ya never know.”

Alice’s story is proof that it’s never too late to start—and with the right guidance, community, and encouragement, you can do it too.
